LOCAL KEWS. Mb. Miles J. Nortox came back Tuesday from his visit to his girl and roundly abused the Ban-er reporter for referring to him as a "newsbutcher."' The reporter was present and concealed his connec- tion with the reporting for the Bax-2-eb by joining him in the abuse and giving the fellow-boarders the wink. The reporter drew him out on the subject nearest his heart and learned definitely that this would be his last visit until he came prepared to carry her to Temple. He says he was a "newsbutcher" ' for seven- teen years but that he owned the Lampasas branch now' and was news agent for the Houston Post and a number of other large papers and employed "newsbutchers"' in his place when 'he was out on a courting expedition.
