THE WEATHER. Welcome rain commenced to fall in Urana on Friday and con tinued at intervals until Tuesday morning. The following were the registrations at .the local post office:—Friday, 3 points; Satur day 55; Sunday, 4; Monday, 5; Tuesday, 13. The total for the month (to date) is 75 joints. A very sucoesiful Euchre Party and Dance was held in the 0>klands School of Arts, on Friday ovening last, in aid of the country stall for the Romtn Catholic Buziar, to be held in Tirana during Show week. A large number took pirt in the Eaehre Parly, the prizes hsintc won by Mis Barnes and Mr T. Kaogh, the booby prize going to Mra Sexton. After the tables were cleared, dinning was in dulged in till the " nee am*' " hours, the mnsic being provided by Miss Hynea of Uranu. Supper {was provided by t'le ladies and was mnch appreciated. Alto gether a very pleasant Droning was spent and a fair amount realised. Mr J. Kenny officiated as M.C., and also carried out the secretarial duties in a very satisfactory manner

INLAND FREEZING CO. A Inland freezin'g company for Riverina is being established, with Mr Oscar Rossiter, of Alburyas district representative. The com pany is registered with a provi sionary Board of Directors, with a capital of £50,00 in 50,000 shares at £1 each. Works will be erected at either Junee or Wagga, with a capacity for treating 2000 . lambs per day. A similar company with works at Murtoa in Victoria, has been operating for the past two years on a very successful basis, making a profit last season of £3,270, and the year was a bad one for lambs. Three other works are to be built in Victoria and one in the Riverina, each one to be independent of the other, but the frozen carcases will be shipped direct to English and German markets through the. company's selling [agent as Australian mutton.
