Now, how can any sane person, having the welfare of the town in view, reconcile'the action of the Cricket Cldb with common sense? The townspeople are expected to support the club, and at the very start of the season, this same club agrees to enter for the trophy on condition that the matches with the clubs named beptayed at Yarra Glen ! Was there ever anything so silly and diametrically opposed to all the true principles of sport and the little benefit the town would derive from the return visits of the various clubs ?
