Fruit Growing Industry. THE STRAWBERRY. [Newspaper Article] — Reporter — 7 November 1890

Fruit Growing industry. TI'1. STlA\?III, ll'tiY. Tlhirty-five years ago thero were not moro thain hlf.n-dozen varieties of stranwborries available to thue planter in the olelbourno district, and toese were of varicties quite unsuinblo to the olimate. After yielding at little fruit early in the season (October anld ovemn. bor) the plants speedily withered off and perished, or were kept ilive only by great care inl watering.
