Kahee, of Hanalei, Kauai, the sad news of the death of his grandmother, Mrs. Kaukokalani Kaulii, at Kalihl kai, Kauai, on the 10th inst., at the advanced a;o of 82 years, 8 months and 13 days. She was the grand daughter of Kaoaokalani, the cele brated warrior of Kaupo, whose tc.mb,known today as "KaPa oKao ao," graces the western ridge of Ilaleakala crater, her mother being Ka'.eimakalii. Kaukokalani was born Nov. 27, 1823, at Honolulu, the day King Liholiho (Kamehameha II.) and Juec nVictoriaKamamalu left on their fateful voyage to England.
