KANSAS FARMER ASSAULTED WADE LINDEMOOD NEAR TOPEKA LEFT FOR DEAD. Assailant Then Attacked Wife Who i Escaped Suspect Arrested and Taken to Topekn. Topeka, Kansas. Wade Llndemoodf farmer living ten miles cast of To ' peka was lured from his home early Sunday morning by an unknown man, wounded and left for dead In tho road. Llndcrmood's assailant crushed his vic tim's skull with an ax and then re turned to the home, where he attacked the farmer's young wife. Mrs. Llnde mood broke away from the stranger and escaped. Later In tho morning the officers., with (the aid of bloodhounds, found George Drittcnham at a farm house, Dear the homo of Llndcmood, where, fcccordlng to tho occupants, ho had hurried from a field seeking refuge.
