(Evening State gonvnal District Attorney, today filed a bill in the Circuit Court of the United States in chancery, to foreclose a mortgage executed by the Kiehmond and Danville Railroad company to the Confederate States to secure one million of dollars which has reverted to the United States. It is alleged that there is now due nearly two millions of dollars for bonds, money, iron and other railroad material advanced to build the Piedmont railroad under a contract made in May, 18G2, between the ltichmond and Danville railroad and the Confederate States. The suit is brought against the Richmond and Danville railroad, the State of Virginia, and other defendants holding or claiming to hold liens on the read. The best legal talent of tho country will be engaged on both sides, and a contest of the most brilliant and exciting character may be expected in the court. VIUC....
