The Prospective. ' The past year we have frequently adverted to the great natural resources of this ' valley, its fertility, and ability to maintain a dense population. In the development of ■ her natural advantages in such a manner as to build her up permanently, in those institutions that add wealth, dignity, and importance to a nation, it is requisite that every department of civil life should be propelled by the same spirit and desire of mutual benefit. San Francisco, Oct. 5, 1960. The Poncy express arrived at Millers Station on the morning of the 3d. The California Steamer had arrived at Havana, and reports that Gen. Wm. Walker and Dudley had been shot by order of the Honduras Government. Mr. Sibly's bill for the Pacific Telegraph is tho only one now before the Cabinet, the others have all been withdrawn, the contract will doubtless be awarded to him. It is to be built within twenty months. PRINCE OF WALES. A dispatch from Chicago states that the Prince of Wales had arrived there, and was received with great ceremony.
