Tyalla Tips. [Newspaper Article] — Ouyen Mail — 29 August 1917

Tyala Tips. In common with Sll other patriotie centres, our progressive community got busy to help the British Red Cross Society. We had a eucher party and dance, and both were high ly uccessful. There was a big gath ering, whips of dancing and no sore feet. The jarrah flocr had been well prepared, and if other hall commit teemen could cely have seen the glassy surface it wore all night there wouldn't be any argument as to what of all the t~imbhers is best for a floor. There is a lot of praise due for the success of the afiair, but no one in partiaular can be picked out-they were all in it. The nett result was £20 4/6, the principal items being £5 18/6 door, 67 for a pipe bought by Mr. D. M1'Grath, 25/9 sale of lol lies. We are proud of ousselves.
