SPORTING. Cricket. Petrie Creek terminates tbe Season. MATCH AT QYMPIE. A DRAWN GAME. To mark the termination of the 1322-23 cricket season, the Petrie Ck. club ( B-grade} made a trip to Gympie last week-end and played a draw with the premiership team of the Gympie Cricket Association (Juniors), the Vic tory C. C. The visitors were met at the Gvmpie Station by the captain of the Club (Mr. Win. Harrison) and driven to the Columbia Hotel. On arrival the neces sary 'pick-me-ups' were availed of, and after lunch a start with the match was m?de on the One Mile Oval at about 2.30 pjn. THE PLAY. The Victory C.C. completed the first innings with a score of S8, to which L. Bundersen by playing a sound, de fensive bst was responsible for 21. the bowling averages hi the first innings were secured by S. Boyle (captain) with 4 for 32. and B. McFadden 3 for 23.
