A Queen Drinks Poison. w Some months ago sensational cables wore sent out about Queen Draga, of Servia, and tho non arrival of a certain expected infant. King Alexander and Madame Draga, a widow, and formerly a lady iu waiting to Queen Natalie, were married on July 23, 1900, the brine being 36 and the tung 2b. Several disquieting reports have been published in Continnntal papers, which go to show that attempts on the Queen's life are talked of. The '? New Freezing Mixture. ProfeBsor Wooster, of 'New Jnrsey, is credited with the discovery of a new chemioal which oan be used in the rapid manufacture of ice. It is des cribed as a kind of ammonia salt, that can be used and re-used for an in definite number of times. A detail is given of some experiments made at the invensor'a laboratory, in whioh a glass jar was filled with a pint of water, and after absorbing half a pound of the salt in thirty seconds registered a fall of temperature from GO to 20 degrees, A glass tube filled with cream was placed in the .jar of liquid.
