The heetupe Coufse . A large number of course tickets have been sold and a large number of students and citizens will attend several of the entertainments , making their own selections . We have made the price of single evenings relatively higher than the course ticket as an inducement to attend the whole series . In the first place , it is a method of determining easily the financial outcome of the season , since the number of single admissions is subject to many conditions and is hard to estimate . However , theie is another and better icason why the Committee like to see course tickets sold . They are sure the buyer will get the benefit of the first as well as all the others . The Committee has not done any packing . All the talent is well-tried and approved by the most critical audiences . Three of our companies are on the Citizen s Course at Carlisle and different towns in the State . Miss Oliver was before the Teachers Institute of Lancaster county , numbering seven hundred te...

IN our last issue we gave an account of the second session of the New York-Gettysbuig Club at the home of its President , Dr . E H . M . Sell , 56 . Any old college boy who could lead of that gathering without a quickening of the pulse and the awakening of a desire tc participate in such a meeting is hardly worthy of the name alumnus College days in the mind of the graduate who has learned something of the meaning and responsibilities of life , are halcyon days . The tucks he helped to play , the midnight feasts on stolen turkey , the recitdtions stumped , the times he outwitted the proctor , occasion a broader smile each year . And then the dreams he indulged , the pattern that was shown him in the mount of feeling , the ideals he formed , the sense of growing power , the friendships sealed , are all pleasant though solemn memories . To meet with the old boys and talk over the old happenings , to become young again if only for an hour—surely such experiences in the humdrum of life ...

WE have heard some rumor of a prospective reunion to be held by one of the older classes during the coming Commencement . This leads us to say that the College always welcomes the return of hei sons to the old and familiar scenes , to renew old personal relations . Apart from the great pleasure which we conceive , must naturally be experienced by former class-mates at such reunions , these latter are obviously of great benefit to the College in that they tend to refresh the interest of the alumnus in his Alma Mater . In behalf of our College , therefore , we express the earnest hope that the alumni of the different classes will make efforts to arrange reunions of their classes , and that we shall have the pleasure of seeing a large number of alumni on the Campus during our next Commencement exercises .

ATHliBTIC ] _4 EWS . U A . _WltlGLB _, oo . Reporter . During the last week winter practice has begun in all departments of spring athletics , and a very lively interest is being shown in every way . The number of applicants for every place is large , the material seems good , and among the student body in general there is a very healthy athletic sentiment . The revival of relations with Dickinson has given an added stimulus to all our teams , and especially to the track men , for this will be the first year for Gettysburg to participate in a local track meet ; and its being in competition with our old rival adds greater zest to the prospect . If such a condition continues , we will be represented this year by good teams ; and , best of all in these days of pseudo amateurs , by strictly college teams . There is one thing yet needed—a coach . Gettysburg must have a permanent coach before _she can attain her true position in athletics . We must soon take our proper stand , and a perma...
