Arizona Sentinel. SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 187S. Could. Xot Organize. Why couldn't the Democrats organize and nominate a candidate for Delegate to Congress ? Sure enough, why? Because too many Democrats in the party wanted to run for the office themselves. The idea of Heading to Congress such men as G. J. Campbell, Woolsey, or any of the half dozen other Democrats that are talked of as candidates ! If the Democrats can carry the Territory why don't they put for ward such men as Dr. W. W. Jones, Hon. Grant Oury, or Col. C. P. Head ? These are men whom an individual could trust with bus iness or private interests; and only such men can a community or commonyealth trust with its interests at Washington. To se cure the vole of Arizona, a candi date must be able to command at Washington recognition, as well as intellectual standing. Both of these are enjoyed by Judge Por ter, the only Republican in the field. The other candidates may be willing enough to serve Arizo na j but, God help 'cm, they...

Arizona Sentinel. SATURDAY. - J UNE 15. 1ST8. Mohave Politics. Politics have not fairly got warmed up in Mohave county. A great many new men have come into the country, who would like to take hold and run tilings, but they don't exactly know where to begin. Two years ago the pop ulation of jVIohavo county was be tween 800 and 000, according to census; there are that may people now, just around Signal and the McCrackin hill. The new-comers are not acquainted with the can didates for Congress, and have to take much information at second hand. Friends of G. J. Campbell, of Prescott, have been the most active, so far, in Mohave. But it is beginning to be realized in that county, that every vote cast for Campbell adds to Stevens' chances of re-election. Judge Porter's candidacy is being regarded with growing favor, as, besides possess ing the necessary qualifications, he is looked upon as the strongest now in the field. Woolsey's pre tensions excite smiles, bat no ar gument. Hon. A. E. D...

Arizona Sentinel. SATURDAY, - - JUNE 22, 1S7S. lion. Jose 31. Itcdoudo. Mohave Politics, The town of Mineral Park Is! probably the point which best re fleets the political opinions of Mo have county. This is due to the fact that most of its residents are working for themselves, and are not in any wise influenced by the; interest of employers; and be cause most of them have longliv-1 ed tli ere. The vicissitudes through which the Park has passed have driven away the idle and improv ident, leaving a very solid popu lation of independent and sturdy thinkers. At Signal, the largest town of the county, the inhabit ants are largely composed of new-l comers, who are absorbed in busi ness cares, or of others who have not yet had occasion to ideutify themselves with the affairs of the county. Mineral Park takes an active interest in the election of our next Delegate, and is now casting about for its choice of candidates. Di satisfaction with Stevens seems general, while much dread is felt th...
