Pack in pint canning jar and top with a circle of gingham tied with a red yam bow. WRAPPING IT UP First some practical matters: Be sure to label all of the edibles you give. Invest in some printed labels that list your name and the Antents, for example, "Sugar "okies from the kitchen of Susan Jones." If your gift needs to be baked or reheated, include the instructions. Wrap fragile cookies and candies in tissue paper to prevent break- age, and use lots of shredded paper or packing straw when you pack boxes or baskets of food. Let your imagination run wild! Even a last-minute item picked up at an all-night convenience store can take on a personal charm with imaginative packaging. The most delightful containers can turn up in the most unusual places. Sachse Anticipates Solid Development in 1989 1989 will be an important and challenging year for the City of Sachse. We may not see the complete rainbow of a renew- ed economy in the upcoming year, but indicators are strong that residents of Sachse and the metroplex will experience the beginning arc of that rainbow. There's no doubt Sachse will benefit during 1989 from the in-progress construction of Highway 190 between Highway 78 and Central Ex- pressway; the Highway 78 widening that's now schedul- ed for 1989-'91; and the relocation announcements by J.C. Page 7 SPORTS Wolfe City Beats Pirates To Avenge Earlier Loss WloWe City avenged an earlier 54-52 defeat at the hands of Wylie Tuesday night, turning back the Pirates 66-56 in the Wolves' den. Two factors contributed to the turnaround. In the first matchup, Wolfe City's Cherry did not play. He was very much in evidence Tuesday night, however, scoring 21 points. The other factor was the absence of Wylie's leading scorer, Bryan Flowers, who was out of town. Five Wylie Players Named All-District Five Wylie football players have been named to the Dist- rict 10-AAA all-district foot- ball team for 1988. One player, senior lineman Tony Pullen, was selected on the offensive and defensive teams. Pullen is a 5-10, 190- pound senior. Only other offensive player from Wylie named to the all-star team was center David Clemmons, a 6-foot, 185-pound senior. Selected on the defensive squad, in addition to Pullen, were 5 10, 175-pound junior linebacker Toby Hibbitts; de- fensive back Derek Draper, a...
