Pentecost with beer on September 3 at tlie Miner's Club, West Wyalong, not being the holder or the agent or servant of the holder of a license. Hobbi and Penticost deposed that they went to the Club, were served with four glasses of lieer on the date named, for which Pentecost paid. Pentecost after wards became a member paying 1/- and stalling his name in a book. Hobbs was already a member. Both witnesses were severely cross ex amined by the defending solicitor, Mr Coonan. .'
