The Creation. In the beginning God'created \ the heaveiis, the earth, then j the editorj and then the liberal j advertiser^ and the prompt- i rjavine subscriber — which was i all very good. The next day j it snowed and he created the i man who does not believe in advertising, another who does not ta*ke the home paper — then he rested, j Then the devil got j into the mouiding-room and created th? man who takes the paper for years and fails to pay for it. Redwater in Cattle. Successful Treatment. At the present lime when redwater among stock is csius::nK grave concern to owners, it is (says the' IlinuiabergMail') especially valuable to place on record an instance where the trouble has been over come, and the lives ofanimalssaved. This, we understand, has been the case with Mr. James Clark, of Ileenleif;b, who re cently sustained somewhat heavy losses through the disease breaking out in his herd. Manv much-used remedies were resorted to by Mr. ' Clark, but the results were by no means satisfactory, and con-, ceivinjr the idea that benefit would result if the bladder of the afflicted animal could be relieved by the removal of the blood irritant therefrom, he decided to give the idea a trial, and to this end used a catheter oiva cow that was in a very bad way with redwater. The experiment was entirely successful and the j.mnial was speedily and completely cured of the disease. Guided by his' success in this instance, Mr. Clark applied t...

Mr. Sykes | appeared for the plaintiiF, and Mr. Tozer for the defendant. The evidence of the plaintiff, who described himself as; ai ?labourer, raiding at Pulla ! Pulla, was to the effect that j he bought a bay mare branded. oYF from a man named Lieke- j felt, ihe receipt for which he produced.
