The Rev. Owens-Mell. [Newspaper Article] — The Bega Budget — 3 March 1906

The Rev. Owens-IYIell. It is with the most profound regret ? that we have to announce the pro jected departure from Tumut of Rev. Owens-Mell, the respected and popular rector of All Saints' Church. We are quite sure that every in dividual in our district, no matter of (yhat creed, who had the pleasure of the rev. gentleman's acquain tance and knew of his good qualities will learn with much re gret that the parish is going to be deprived of the valued services of the most worthy clergyman that has ever had charge of it. He is an eloquent preacher with a capacity for dealing in a most finished manner with every sub he having a magnificent library (one of the best to be found out side of Sydney), to refresh his memory with. His gentlemanly qualities are undeniable, and won for him admirers of all classes of the community. As a citizen, he has shown his willingness at nil 'times to attend to any public matters that were likely to prove of advantage to the best interests ?of the district...
