Music on Licensed Premises A licensee of a., country hotel was charged with per mitting music on her licensed promises, contrary to the pro visions of tho Liqor Act. In evidence it was' stated that prior to tho policcf being aware of tho breach slip had request ed tbe musician, a violinist, to cease playing, and on his fail ing to desist had ngain ordered him to stop, but without avail The magistrate, in recording a fine of 5s and costs, said that the licensee when the refusal was made, ought to havo call ed a constable, or ono of her own servants, and have had removed from the premises any person whose behaviour was likely to lay the license open to a prosecution. As this was not donei tho licensee be camo responsible for what hap pened.
