Shannon, by his remarks In the Land Court, goaded the Government into action in regard to the prickly pear. Losses lit Sheep, Io i be Land Court which wa» recently bold at Etnetald, Mr. C H Probort.ot Glenora, told very tersely bow a sheep-owner can lose hie flocks from ODe cauee or another. Mr. Probert stated according to the "Chronicle" report that in 1914 be was cleaned out by gru.«stioppere, and 'he cut eerub which continued through 1915 to the early part r.t 191C. The losgee were getting very heavy by this, and no foliage was left; only bare sticks which were killing the sheep. He started out with 6000.
