Her dates are.not so latcaa those of the steamer Quaker City, but the papers contain the following intelligence, which has not yet been telegraphed from New Orleans. The dates from Victoria are to the 25th ult. JYazer river was open again, and the miners .were relieved from their difficulties. - Late discoveries increase the faith in the richness of the gold fields in that vicinity. A discredited tumor prevailed at San Francisco that United States Senator Gwin would resign his seat for the secretaryship of the Treasury, and some stir was noticeable among those who were ambitious of succeeding Mr. Gwin. The overland mail from Kansas b xd ar rived at StochtOn. A prize of one hundred thousand dollars in the Havanna lottery wr d won by certain parties at San Francisco. .
