AT 8 UETIC NEWS . _L A . Wiugli , oo . Reporter With the opening of the winter term comes the base ball question . This is a branch of athletics in which Gettysburg has always been more prominent than in others . We generally have good players , our field is fine , and the interest is lively . Last year we had a good team , and it is necessary to work well tins year , both to uphold its standards , and to atone for the partial success of foot ball last fall . Cage work in batting and pitching is one of the most pleasant ways of spending an hour in the winter days . We have a good cage , and hope to see many taking advantage of it . Roehnerand Ketterman are still ready and it is rumored that there are somcpromising youn...

The _Speetfum . To al ! who take a lively interest in the welfare and progress of Gettysburg College , the annual publication of the Spectrum is a matter of no small concern . This is indeed most natural inasmuch as the Spectium h . is come to be such a tiue mirror of our college life and activity in al ! phases , as well as a valuable advertising medium for the Institution . The Literaly Record of the Alumni is rounding into splendid form ; and careful and painstaking work is being done on all the other departments . One thing that will especially commend the book to students and alumni will be the large number of new and original features which it will embody . An encouraging feature in connection with the book lias been the kindly interest and support received from both students and alumni . This is the proper spirit , and we ho...
