"Wood reports that he Invited the Sulton of TarncA to meet him at ' Vicars on March 31st for consultation , nnd that the Sultan refused to come, and Instead made, extensive hostile preparations. Marching columns from M.imhul and Vicars left on April 2nd to assemble the ravalry. The Vicars column was fired Into from camp all night ten miles from Vicars, and one enlisted man was seri ously wounded.
