The Democrats of Cincinnati not only, but of the west, have been com paring notes to llml out who wrote that letter to Cleveland which brought out such a graudcloqucnt reply, and which was io sonorous with indignant virtue. The more ihe inquiry is pu-hod the better are ali bauds satis lied that uo such letter was ever writ ten tint it was a flagrant piece of demagogncry. Cleveland's letter was therefore the protect of a soiled dove rather than that of offended purity.
