Last meeting of the year for Farmdale Farmdale PTA held Its last meeting of the school on May 19. Featured on the program was Frank Armendariz, youth service supervisor of the L.A. City School Playground, who discussed summer playground activities. The Farmdale orchestra, under the direction of Mrs. Nicholson, played two musical numbers and officers were installed by Mrs. Paul Wankovsky, past president of Gravois School and La Sierra Council. To complete the program, Mrs. Nicholson was presen td with an honorary life membership. for all the extra time and the devotion which she has had in working with the students of the Farmdale orchestra. The flag ceremony was led by the boys of Cub, Scout Pack 502, sponsored by the Farmdale PTA.

PIA luncheon will honor board members Sierra Vista PTA will hold it* final luncheon of the year on June 8 at the home of Mrs. Robert Smith. Guests of honor will be board members and the school staff. On May 6 members were routed out at an early hour to attend a come -as - you - are breakfast. A group of bedraggled but good humored friends were chauffered to Mrs. Robert Will's home and those with the most "original" outfits were honored with gifts. Coffee, Spanish chocolate and sweet rolls were served. On May 19, at the regular association meeting. Mrs. Walter Langtimm, first vice president of La Sierra Council, installed Sierra Vista’s officers for the coming year. Officers for 1964-1965 arc; 'Mrs. James M. Wallace, president; Mrs. Albert J. Officers installed at VFW ceremony in Lincoln Heights [ The skirl of bagpipes high lighted the installation of th ( officers of Los Angeles Hall Post 768 and Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars which was held at the Wednesday Morning Club in Lincoln Heights on May 27. The Highland Society Pipe Band provided the music and members of the Southern Zone of the Royal Canadian Legion were color guards.
