Secretary's Office, June 4, 1827. 1 INSTRUCTIONS having been received that | the emoluments of all persons holding situations under the Government, shall as far as possible, be comprehended in one certain fixed salary, and not drawn from distinct sources. His Ex- cellency the Lieutenant Governor has been pleased to direct that the allowance of "Com- mutation " for Rations, shall cease from the 24th of the present month.
