A - correspondent writes from Tutye :-Visited Boinka on Sunday and noticed an additibnal building going up at the store.-Crops all around.are looking well.-Presby terian Church folk are holding a concert on the ist prox., while the Caledonian society's concert and dance will be held on 31st August. --Tutye is moving along, too, judging by the goods arriving by rail. On a recent train there were a new gig, buggy, and a lot of fnr niture.--The' "Black Bull" arrived arrived from Cowangie on Saturday. The mice are still fairly plentiful. Galah Gaieties. SList Friday night week the Galah hail proved altogether too small to accommodate the crowd which aeten died to celebrat;e the opening of the school at that centre. Mr. B. F. Murphy presided, and made a cap able chairman. In opening the pro ceedings, he spoke feelingly on the disabitities childreo in the backblocks labored under in the matter of edu cttional facilities, and said parents eathusirasticslly recognised the un selfish efforts of those who had worked so successfully to get the school at Galah. At the close of the splendid program of song and' recita tion, he presented Mr. Arbhur Penny with a handsome illuminated ,address neatly framed. In doing so, he% said everyone echoed the seantiments ex Spressed jn the address, and he trusted the recipient would be long spared to look on the token of thankfulness i presented by the parents, and con sinuoe the grand work for the better meat of his fellows.
