COMMERCIAL. Tho price of 'potatoes is somowhnt firmer and wo have heard, of transactions nt £2/7/0 and £2/12/6. Yostordny was the bnsiest day wo have had this season in the potato trado. Tho Wakefield brought 8815 bags from Stanley for transhipment per the Flinders, and about 400 bags were shipped in addition, i Tho Circular Head potatoes were a first class lot and should sell well. The late frosts will have a disastrous eflect upon tho pota toes in tho Table Cape, Flowerdale and Boat Harbour districts, many orops having been ' nipped off ' to a very large extent. But while we hear of the injury to potatoes it is pleasing to note that some excellent oat crops have been cut in abovo named localities.
