BANK OF OF QUEENSLAND (LIMITED). The first ordinary meeting of the share- holders in this bank was held on Tueday, April 19, at the London Tavern, Sir Joshua   Rowe, C.B., in the chair. Mr Muir, the secretary of the bank, read   the report of the directors, which was as follows: -   " In accordance with the articles of association,         the directors now submit to the shareholders the audited accounts of the company, to 31st December, 1863. It will be observed that the       net profit in London and Brisbane amounts to £41358, 19s 2d. SUPREME COURT. Tuesday, JUNE 21.   IN EQUITY.   BEFORE his Honor the Chief Justice. PATEN V. CRIBB AND OTHERS. In this case Mr. Ball appeared for the plain- tiff, and the Attorney-General, with whom was Mr. Lilley, for the defendants. The arguments of the learned counsel on either side were not concluded when the court rose. After hearing the argument of Mr. Ball, for the plaintiff, and that of the ATTORNEY-GENERAL   in reply, the further hearing of the case was adjourned until Friday next, at 10 o'clock, when   Mr. Lilley will follow the Attorney-General in opposition to the bill. RE LANGAN DECEASED. On the motion of the ATTORNEY-GENERAL, who produced the necessary affidavits, letters of administration in the estate of Thomas Langan, deceased, were granted to his widow Mary Langen.
