Maroochy Shim Council. SPECIAL MEETING. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN. Appointment of Clerk ^vxd 0\T3KSEER. A special meeting, and the first of the Maroochy Shire Council as newly constituted, was held in the Shire Hall, Xambour, on Wednes day last at 12 noon. There were present : Crs. G. L. Bury (chairman), E. H. Arundell, S. Kelly, H. Andre sen, S. Fountain, G. J. Butt, T. D. Smith, G. Elheridge, and R. Hed don, besides several ratepayers. The Recent, Elections. The returning officer reported on the recent elections, giving the re sults. In the case of Mr. Keil, he in time, but he received a registered letter from Mr. J. C. HassaH at 9 p.m., about three hours after the ballot papers were posted, with drawing his candidature, so that he could take no action in the matter. Mr. Bun- welcomed the new mem bers to the table.
