It will interest sufferers to know, that a valuable medicine, called Froo toids, has boen discovered, which is now completely curia? each of tte above-named complaints. You do not require to go on taking them for a prolonged period, as is necessary with some medicines, which eveu thea are mostly disappointing; you simply take a dose of Frootoids when ill and repeat the dose if necessary, but gene raily one dose is quite ejective. Federal Members' Salaries. [Newspaper Article] — Malvern Standard — 14 September 1907

Federal Members' Salaries. Public meetings have been held, and individuals have spoken, against the Bill passed to increase Federal members salaries. The Federal Parliament really took little heed of the objections raised against their action. It has been contended that it was unconstitutional to raise the salaries, and also that the voice of the I electors had not be^n heard on the ' question. As to the first, Federal members argued that they were quite within their rights in raising their allowances, and as to the second argument, well, perhaps, if the voice of the electors had been heard it would have been a negative answer I to the increases. The cry of the people's representatives is that the will of the people should be heard and abided by ; but in regard to the increase of salaries the will of the people was not invited. That being the case, the people, with no uncertain voice, have expressed their emphatic disapproval of...

The gift oonsisted of a very handsome silver hot water tea kettle and stand. The presentation was made by Mr L. K. McNab, President, who referred in eulogistic terms to the secretarial capabilities of Mr McLennan The society thoroughly appreciated the work he had done, ana trusted that he would long continue to hold the position of secretary. Mr J. Smith supported the remarks of the President, and Mr McLennan suitably responded. The health of Mr McLennan and his bride-elect was drunk with musical ho...
