Bowral Police Court At the above oourton Friday, before Mr. Oaiwell, P.M., Alex. Fraaer (17), Harry Stokes (14), Frank Hopson (14), and Richard Jones (II) were fined nominal sums, for riotous behaviour, throwing stones a Yon Woy (a Chinese truiterer; in Bowral on Sunday, tne 19th inst. Frank Hopson was also charged with assaulting Ton Woy (bitting him on the leg with a stone) and was fined 2s 6d, with 4s lOd oosts. In the Small Debts Court D. The question whether pasteurised milk (says the Kiamn 'Reporter') is good for rearing calves or not, isa very mixed one. At the recent meeting of dairymeu in Kinma, pasteurised milk wns strongly denounced for the pur pose. The other day, however, while in conversation with a dairyman of ninny years' standing (Mr. Thos Lcvp) be informed ub that he had reared no less than sixty-one calves on pasteur ised milk-, and he could not wish for finer or healthier animals. Tho Jamberoo School of ArU cost, land and all, about £749 ; and there remains only about £81, to bring thn institution out free of debt. The membership fee is only Is per quarter.' At the request of Sir Thomas Lipton, tbe yacht race for the America Cup has been postponed for a month.
