To work we must organize'. No party ever so thoroughly stiHt-red the disastrous effects of disorganization as has the Democratic party during the past ten years, and the people have locked in vain for some energetic, deci sive action on the part of the leaders; some effort at encouragement; some striving at least for victory. But there has been none. A iealousv. a dissatisfaction, a fight was maintained among those who were looked upon as the leaders of the Dem ocracy, to such an extent that the peo ple had no hope, were confused as to the course and line to pursue, and saw no light betokening possible victory amid the dark clouds that overhung the skies.
