The North Fork of Kentucky river has risen nearly 40 feet since Saturday morning, and the flood is doing great damage in Perry, Knott, Letcher and Breathitt counties. Jackson, the county scat of the latter county, is entirely under water Sunday night. At lleattyville, which is at the junction of the three forks of the Kentucky river, the rise has been unusually rapid, and much valuable property is in danger. Reports from Hell county say Yellow creek hits overflowed its banks and the valley occupied by the boom town of MiddleWboro is under water.
