LOCAL MATTERS Benefit of Mrs. Kirby. -This lady takes a benefit this evening, and presents a very pleasingly diversified bill. The stirling and interesting play of "The Wife" is to be performed, in which Mrs Kirby, the beneficiare, appears as Maritana - an amateur, Mr. Carleton, who personated Othello on the opening night, appears, for this night only, as St. Pierre. Mr McCron will sing in a duett after the play, and the performances will conclude with the capital farce of "Bachelor's Buttons," in which Mrs. and Mrs. Hambleton are particularly happy. We hope that Mrs. Kirby will have a full house. Mr McCron.— We have received a communication from Mr Nesbitt McCron, relative to the difficulty which took place at the Olympic Amphitheatre a few nights since. Mr. McCron attributes it to professional jealousy on the part of his brother actors, or a portion of them. If his communication was not too long we should give place to it.
