Railage of Agricultural 1 Products. I During the months of last ; November and December the ; rail way _ carriage of agricultural ' products has very largely in- j creased. During those two months no less than 4047 tons of wheat were transmitted to Brisbane, whereas the previous \ year none was conveyed. Of \ potatoes there were 2500 tons I carried, as against 83 tons the \ previous year ; maize, 1950 tons contrasted with 203 tons the previous year. Chaff shows a total of 1869 tons in comparison ' with 560 tons ; and onions an j advance from 5 tons to 218 tons. ' There has also been a consider- j able increase in the shipment i of coal, sa3*s Mr. Thallon, the I figures forthesametwo months being 36,500 tons, as against ; 26,500 tons the previous 3'ear. j Wool for the same period mani- j festsan increase of 14,183 bales \ from 10,900 bales.
