Brilbiton's Banl. T'O-IGIIT'S PROGIRAlMMilE. The usual Saturday night.concert of the Brighton District Brass Band will be held this Saturday evening at the Drill ]Room. The programnle is well up to the standard. Daly and Day, very clever Scotch and Irish come dians, will appear; also Mlr. Robert Firth will appear for the first time in Brighton in his marvellous acts with coins and cards. There are two star pictures hilled, entitled "A Shot in the Night" and "The Star Boar ing the Night" and "The Star Boar dcr." Amongst the others are Pim iple's Burglar Scare, Monkey Intelli gence, The Receiving Cashier, and the Latest Pathe Gazette. The band will render pauntriotic airs nn the march to the D)rill Room from Bay street, and during the concert interval "Rule Britannia" will be rendered.

A New Preacher. ---*e*~- MR. GEO. MOORE, M.A. WELCOME TO BRIGHTON. A very large congregation assembled in the Church of Christ, Middle Brigh- ton, on Tuesday evening to welcome Mr. Geo. Moore, M.A., the new evan- gelist. The chairman was Mr. F. M. Ludbrook, who has been in member ship with the church for the last 20 years, and who for about 15 years was their preacher. Mr. Reg. Clark the secretary. welcomed the preacher ao. behalf of the church, after sihich a representative of each auxiliary spoke words of welcome. In his remarks the secretary referred to the 54 years the Church had been existant, and to the progress which had been made. Three times during the period the buikling, now used only as a kindergarten, had to be enlargel, and finally the larger church building in which they now met, had to be erected.
