LOCAL INTELLIGENCE. [Newspaper Article] — Kilmore Free Press and Counties of Bourke and Dalhousie Advertiser — 10 May 1866

LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.. HIIEAV HAri.--On Thursday afternoon a thunder-storm of unusual violence passed over Kilmore, accompanied by some rain and subsequently a very heavy shower of hail. During the time the hail was falling business in the County Court, where evi dence was being taken, had to be suspended for a short period, the slashing of the hail upon the windows being so great as to drown the voices. Some of the hailstones were as large as good sized cherries, and many of them partook of the shape of square lumps instead of that of the ordinary hailstone. One of the medical men of Wood's Point seem never to be out of hot water. His last appearance in a court is thus noticed by the "Times" of the 2nd inst :-"The police-court was again (yesterday) occupied with an of fence against the law, in which Dr. N'ash fi gured conspicuously. The evidence taken was to the effect that Mr. Christian, a well known manager of mines in this district, went up to Dr. Nash in the street, about 11 o'cl...
