Ship-ments-133 cattle, 275 hogs and 20 Horses. Thero was a fair supply of cattle on hand today. The market was active, and yes terday's prices were well sustained all the good cattle offered found ready sale, as the buyers were all on hand and wanted cattle. Some of the speculators com plained that the local packers were paying such good prices that they (the specula tors) could not afford to buy them. This, however, was relative only to fair and good butcher stuff. There was a moder ate supply of feeding steers and stockers which found an active market, and several buyers waiting to take them as soon as they arrived. The market closed strong. Chicago and Kansas City markets steady and prices unchanged. The supply of hogs was quite liberal as compared with yesterday. The market ruled strong ...

Shipments 73 cattle, 431 noffs. The cattle supply was fair as to both number and quality. The buyer for one of the packing houses was complaining be cause there wasn't enough butcher stock coming in. Trading was fairly active and nearly everything .sold. Satisfactory prices were realized on all good butcher grades and stock steers. More good butcher cows and heifers would have found ready sale to the local slaughterers The close was a trifle weak on account of late reports from Kansas City, whioh said: "Prices can not be sustained on account of the heavy run."
