k rt = t i ft i 10 t d f l T4 I DI t THE ADAIR COUNTY NEWS COLUMBIA KY DECEMBER 20 1905 3 Louisvilles New Mayor Notwithstanding the fact that Mayor Barth is going to reduce tax rate to 180 and at the same time allow more money for street cleaning sewers and other pur poses and maintain the effic iency of every department it is learned that the public schools will get more money this year than ever before All Louisville citizens are proud of the citys school system and Mayor Baath is interested in it He wants to see it improve and grow and the weight of his influ ence as Mayor is being thrown in this direction After the amount of money for the schools had been agreed upon Mayor Barth went futher added onefourth of one per cent of the tax rate to be applied for maintaining the kindergarden schools Last year the feature of the shool work was neglected j i but this year the kindergardens i will receive between 3000 and j 4000 more than previously and j this amount will enable those in I...
