One of the Witnesses. Not long si ace, a steamboat called tbe " Old Kentuck," Mew up, near Trinity, at the. mouth of the Ohio, where it is a well-established fact that a "great many mosquitoes will weigh a pound," by which accident Mrs. Jones lost her husband and bcr trunk, and for bulb of which an ac tion was brought. There was, strange to tay, great difficulty in proving that Mr. Jones bad been on the boat at the time of the collapse that worthy having been no toriously drunk on the wharf boat, just as the steamer left Tiiuity. Many witnesses were examined to prove tbe fast, until finally a Mr. Diettmar, a German, was planed on the stauJ. Our friand J.
