The Chargers hope to go further this year than they did in 2006. After going 14-2, including an 8-0 record at home, the Bolts were dealt a heartbreaking 24-21 defeat to the New England Patriots on their own turf in the AFC divisional playoffs. Smith wasn’t happy with the outcome, nor with Schottenheimer’s 5-13 postseason record. Turner, who has a losing record as a head coach during his career, at least has the players to come out on top. How he handles such talent is the question. Will Norv Turner be the differ-ence-maker for the San Diego Chargers? General manager A. J. Smith sure hopes so. It’s great to see Cass Street come alive in the morning. The street is still pretty sleepy besides the clunky delivery trucks and office employees going to work nearby, coffee in hand. Everything is just waking up and we can watch the day transform through the windows. We enjoy the people walking their dogs, walking the kids, walking to work nearby - we’re constantly waving through the windows. We’ve gotten to know the local people and businesses, and our neighbors have been really welcoming and supportive. A police sergeant arrest several suspects for their alleged involvement in the armed robbery of a pedestrian near the intersection of Emerald and Everts streets Tuesday, Sept. 11, at approximately 11: 35 p. m. He is currently being held at San Diego County Jail on $ 71,000 bail. He is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon, battery with great bodily injury, resisting arrest and being under the influence of a controlled substance. “We believe it was related to the blow he took in the chest from the suspect but have been unable to determine that,” Needham said. It took four police officers to restrain Kolaras before he was taken into custody. Kolaras had a Navy ID card and is stationed at Naval Base Point Loma, Needham said. The blow reportedly sent Justis into cardiac arrest. Paramedics treated Justis at the scene took him to UCSD Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery, Needham said.
