Lawless Commander, arrived about half-past seven o'clock last evening, with dates from New Orleans to the 23d inst., The telegraphic despatches which we -copy below, embrace one week's later news Europe but it is not of much impor- There is nothing definite in regard to peace, and both parties continue their pre- parations for war, in the event of the confer- ence breaking up without a settlement of the matter in controversy. The news from faris indicated liltle progress towards peace, "and late despatches say that the conferences had taken an nufavorable turn.
