Hamilton's speech at the Cap- itol last Wednesday, taken from a report made to the Intelligence* Wo were pres- ent on the occasion, as we always have been whenever, in former days, wo cotrid have the pleasure of listening to that distinguished and popular orator ; but from the inconve- nience attendant «pon our position lh the audience, we ooütd take no notes. The au- dience was large, and the most perfect order prevailed. The Governor was frequently interrupted by bursts of applause, and ev- erything weht off harmoniously.
