Cjjt Cmmtrgman. Value of Texas Landa. The Comptroller has prepared a list of the average value of lands per mere, in the various counties of Texas since 1849. There was a gradual in- crease in value np to 1860-61. Dur- ing the war, although the taxes were payable in Confederate money, there vas no increase; and the rate tor 1866 irae much below that of I860 in near- ly, if not every county.
