Discovery of the Silver Queen. OPENING OF THE ZEEHAN FIELD. [Newspaper Article] — Zeehan and Dundas Herald — 3 November 1890

Discovery of the Silver Queen. OPENING OF THE ZEEHAN FIELD. [by sand*'.] It was near the end of 1886 that a meeting of the representatives of three Prospecting Associations viz : Western P. A., W. 6. Barker, nnd J. Will, City P.A., Geo., Bell and S. Jacksou, Bell P.A., W. .Bell and E. A start was accordingly made in December, each man with a heavy swag for Mount Professor, viz . the Howard's plains, after some hard travelling the Big Heuty river was reached, here au -insurmountable difficulty was found.
