Meetings of cre ditors in these estates will takepla;,e at Gee long on Tuesday next. ONCE more an attempt is to be made to stock Lake Colac with the finny tribe. A public meeting was held at the Free Library last evening, and the matter was ventilated, but it is to be regretted that there were not more of our promi nent townsmen inmattendance. Mr Adam Iea, who is a most enthusiastic disciple of " the gentle Isaak," publicly announced that it was his intention to defray the cost of bringing a quantity of perch from Lake Wen biiree, and which Mr B. Hepburn had kindly promised to procure for him. This, however, was, for the credit of our township, rendered unnecessary by a subscription. for the purpose being initiated. The perch is' a very hardy. fish, and will thrive almost anywhere. The success which has at tended the placing of them in Lake Wendoureo, should be a powerful in. centiveo to the people of Colac to leave no stone unturned in order to stock our beautiful sheet of water with fish. As one. of the speakers remarked at, the meeting laeteveieing, Lake Wendoure...
