Tuesday, 20th January, Cattle.—There was an increased number of cattle yarded for to-day's sale on the penning of the last couple of weeks, and, further, the quality all round was an im provement. The total number that came to hand was G17, representing 33 trucks that arrived by rail, with the addition of a good percentage that were roaded in. The supply hcini; quite equal to ail re quirements, even with some Melbourne exporters' competition, the market, right from the opening, experienced a drop of nearly 103 011 the decreased rate of last, week, and with slight fluctuations at times in the case of prime pens of bullocks, con tinued so throughout.
