LOCAL NEWS. To Scbscejbebs.—Great numbers of complaints have been made to us by subscribers living at Candalo, and Benbooka, not receiving their " Gazette." We beg to assure those subscribers that the '* Gazette" is posted and sent to the Post-offifie, Kamaruis, every Sunday morning at 6 o'clock. Why they do not- get them wc are at loss to account for, unless the Post office hours at Kumaruka is too early for the public. Country post-masters are only obliged to keep their office open for one hour, cither before or after Divine Service, v.-hieh ever is most accommodating to the •public. If the inhabitants of these districts would only suggest the most convenient hour for receiving their letters, we have no doubt the post-master at Ka maruka would accommodate them. We say jieglcctcd, ad visedly, for the moral welfare of the people in the interior has been sadly overlooked by our legislature; the future welfare of the colony depends upon the rising generation.
