WATER SUPPLY. [Newspaper Article] — Temora Herald and Mining Journal — 9 June 1882

WATER SUPPLY. Tin delay which has occurred in the completion of the proposed water works for the supply of Temora is likely to prove fatal to the expectation of conserving the rains of the present winter. Even with the utmost dis patch which can be used, the season is too far advaneed to be able to utilise the rainfall of the present season. This is the more to be regretted as tins season promises to be a wet one, 1 mnA MflT ftAulhlir ha /nllnvttt kw . ! saooession of droughts. No doubt some delay is inseparable from tho task of projecting and executing a scheme lor a water supply ; but it will be apparent that the great delay, in the present instanoe, will have a disastrous effect if it lands in another dry season without any of the abun dant supply of water, now running to waste, being conserved for future use. Without.'iti any way detracting from the suitability of the proposed reser voir, or the site which it is to occupy, we wish to point out another which, while perhaps it is ...

Among others who went ashore was Aaron Colter, a raftsman. The wea ther was very cold, with a keen north- 1 ?west wind.
