LOUIS, May 20.—At Woodstock, a suburb of this city, just before dawn this morning, Benjamin MeCtillough, paying teller of the State Bank of St. Louis was shot and killed by a burglar. From the evidence at hand it is ap- parent that Mr. MeCullough heard the 'burglar and arising to protect bin property, secured a shotgun. The bm-idar evidently left the house and Mr. MeCullough followed., him to the yard, where a scullle, fol- lowed in which the length of the shot-' gun prevented its use while the burg- lar's revolver came, into play and a bul- let wan nent crashing into McCullough's brain.
